April 22, 2010 marks the 40th anniversary of Earth Day! Come celebrate with Autonomie and NYC non-profit Earth Day New York in a historic part of New York City. Enjoy a weeklong exhibit of art exhibits, displays and inspirational quotes in the stations Vanderbilt Hall, then party with us for the two-day festival of art, music, green businesses, organic food and interactive displays that take over 5 blocks of NYC’s streets and provide opportunities to take positive action for our earth!

Join us for this super fun multi-cultural community festival run by local non-profit Spontaneous Celebrations. Sing, dance, eat and celebrate the 32nd annual spring fair with over 10,000 others! Shop from hundreds of vendors, eat with local restaurants, enjoy performances on 3 different stages including junk percussion, children’s activities, popular theatre and capoiera.

Bikes Not Bombs Bike-A-Thon and Green Roots Festival

Come out and support local non-profit Bikes Not Bombs with their 23rd annual fundraising Bike-A-Thon and after hours party at the park by Stony Brook in our old ‘hood JP. Bikes Not Bombs is in their 26th year of promoting bicycle usage, peace and sustainable development. Help them continue their solid work by bringing your bike out for the 15, 25 or 62 mile race or just hanging out with us and some other really cool vendors, sponsors, musicians, local artists and yummy restaurants at the Green Roots Festival kicking off at the finish line.
